Rhinoplasty Procedure
Rhinoplasty can be performed using a variety of techniques. Generally, the rhinoplasty procedure involves manipulating and adjusting the cartilage in the nose. This is accomplished by first making an incision from outside of the nose (referred to as an "open rhinoplasty") or from within the nose (referred to as a "closed rhinoplasty") and detaching the skin from the structure of the nose. Dr. Brian Howard then adjusts the bone and cartilage in the nose to meet the goals and objectives of the surgery. The procedure usually lasts one to two hours and most patients are able to return to work in one week.
