A non-surgical rhinoplasty or non-surgical nose job consists of the injection of safe and effective filler materials such as Radiesse or Restylane to alter the shape of the nose. Non-surgical rhinoplasty is a quick and easy alternative for those qualified patients who want to improve certain features of their nose but are not yet ready for a surgical rhinoplasty. Non-surgical rhinoplasty takes less than fifteen minutes to perform and has minimal discomfort and minimal recovery compared with surgical nose jobs. Results typically last a year or longer depending on the filler used for injection. Non-surgical rhinoplasty should ideally be performed by a surgeon who is also experienced in surgical rhinoplasty such as a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon.
It is important to realize that a non-surgical rhinoplasty can only be used to alter the shape by adding volume to the nose and cannot make the nose smaller.
Non-surgical rhinoplasty can help patients with the following findings:
- Noses with small humps, bumps, and asymmetry
- Noses that have had prior surgery and are overly scooped (ski slope noses) or look overly operated on Noses with minor fullness on the nasal dorsum
- "Short" looking noses
Non-surgical rhinoplasty typically cannot help with the following types of noses:
- Noses with large humps and bumps
- Large or very wide noses
- Noses with significant asymmetry for whatever reason
- Noses that need less volume instead of more volume
The most common filler materials used for non-surgical rhinoplasty are Radiesse and Restylane. I have performed a number of non-surgical rhinoplasty procedures in our Atlanta , Georgia office using these fillers with excellent results. The cost of a non-surgical rhinoplasty can range from $600 to $1000 depending on the complexity of the nose shaping. This is a fraction of the cost of a surgical rhinoplasty. If additional injections are needed for touch-ups, the cost can range from $300 to $795.
